International Students and the Skills Shortage Presented by StudyAdelaide – Wednesday 29 March
About StudyAdelaide
StudyAdelaide is the State’s destination marketing and student support agency for the international education sector, promoting Adelaide as a centre of education excellence. StudyAdelaide’s key activities fall into three categories: international marketing, student engagement and advocacy.
Marketing Adelaide as an international education destination includes multi-language websites and digital channels, agent engagement, and collaborative marketing, as well as onshore and offshore familiarisation tours.
StudyAdelaide offers international students a year-long calendar of free and discounted events ranging from cultural celebrations, welcome parties, and the International Students Awards, to smaller events focused on personal and professional development. The program aims to give international students a rewarding time in Adelaide and base to launch successful careers.
By advocating for and educating the community on the benefits brought by international students – beyond economic value – StudyAdelaide aims to showcase how international education can play a critical role in transforming South Australia and help place the State on the world stage. Bringing their skills, experience, and different ways of thinking to the workplace, especially in a time of growth, is one of the ways international students can transform the state.
