MathWorks and the Defence Teaming Centre (DTC) are proud to present a webinar on the topic of Accelerating Development through a Collaborative Model-Based approach.

In today's interconnected engineering landscape, collaboration is key to achieving innovative solutions and accelerating project timelines. This presentation shows how a model-based design and simulation approach offers robust collaboration capabilities so multidisciplinary teams can work together seamlessly.

Meet the speakers:

Ruth-Anne Marchant, Senior Team Lead at MathWorks
Ruth-Anne Marchant is the Application Engineering Manager for MathWorks Australia & New Zealand, where she leads her team to enable the successful adoption and implementation of MathWorks solutions. Ruth-Anne is a controls engineer with a Masters degree from the University of Waterloo. She worked in the Canadian aerospace industry on programs spanning from space and medical robots to aircraft environmental control systems. She joined MathWorks in 2015 as an Application Engineer, to help customers increase their modelling and simulation capabilities, particularly for physical systems and control algorithm design. As the ANZ Engineering Manager, Ruth-Anne and her team work with some of the region’s largest and most complex industries, helping organizations accelerate the pace of engineering workflows across a range of applications including data analysis, electrification, signal processing and communications and AI.

Ian Smith, National Account Manager, MathWorks
Ian Smith is the National Account Manager for MathWorks with over two decades of diverse business experience spanning Aerospace, Defence, Government, Telecommunications, and Industrial Control Systems. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Australia, where he developed a strong foundation in advanced technologies and systems. Complementing his engineering expertise, Ian also earned a Business Diploma from the same institution. Throughout his career, Ian has focussed on helping customer's success through addressing their key business challenges through people and technology.
