Undersea Defence Technology (UDT) 2026 organiser Clarion Defence and Security has opened submissions for papers to be presented at UDT 2026 in Adelaide, to be held 2-4 December.
UDT 2026 in Adelaide will be the first iteration of the event outside Europe in its 37-year history. Adelaide will host UDT Australia as an annual event for at least the next three years.
UDT Australia will serve as the leading forum for shaping the continued transformation of underwater defence, connecting stakeholders across industry, academia, defence, and government to confront shared challenges and form new joint opportunities in the undersea battlespace.
Clarion Defence and Security director James Samuel was in Adelaide in February to detail the event’s long-running success in Europe and describe how Australia’s increasing role in world undersea defence technologies has prompted the first staging of UDT outside Europe in its 37-year history.
The Defence Teaming Centre is on board with UDT 2026 and will stage the event’s official gala dinner as part of the DTC’s annual Defence Industry Dinner and Award Ceremony on 3 December.
“UDT Australia really is a focused event, to showcase Australian capability to local, national and international delegations and companies,” said Defence Teaming Centre CEO Libby Day.
“The Australian steering committee will ensure the conference is relevant to Australian industry. It’s very much aligned with the Defence Teaming Centre’s priority areas, AUKUS Pillar I and Pillar II, championing workforce skills, industry development opportunities and growing the mid-tier base.
