About this event

Defence Industry 101 Session - Online

The Defence Teaming Centre’s Defence Industry 101 Training is an in-depth training, developed to assist new DTC members to gain a better understanding of the Defence landscape.

This event will be delivered online via Teams.

We will cover:

  • Current Geopolitical Environment
  • Introduction to Australia’s Defence Force
  • Introduction to ODIS
  • Academia in Defence
  • Get “Defence Ready”
  • Doing business in defence industry
  • Australia’s defence industry

We will be joined by Travis Shueard, Senior Associate at Piper Alderman as the facilitator, and Andy Semmler, Head of Industry Development & Engagement, ASC, who will assist with facilitation and help provide a deeper understanding of the defence sector.

We will also be joined by Robin Dunk and Richie Bower, Defence Industry Advisors from the Office of Defence Industry Support (ODIS) to give an overview about ODIS and the grants they have available to SMEs.

This session is aimed at both new members, new staff members to existing members and anyone who would like an update.
