The Defence Teaming Centre (DTC) is inviting nominations for five (5) Member-Elected positions on its Board of Directors – offering members a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of the organisation and strengthen Australia’s sovereign defence industry.
Open to experienced, passionate professionals from across the defence sector, these voluntary positions provide the chance to represent the interests of over 200 member organisations, influence policy and programs, and collaborate with industry leaders who share a commitment to advancing Australia’s defence capabilities.
Each nominee for the DTC Board MUST submit the online 'DTC Board of Directors Nomination Form' and must have another member support their nomination by having them complete the 'DTC Board Director Nomination Support Form'.
In order for the nomination to be valid the nominee and seconder must both be a financial DTC member.
Nominations close on Friday 11 September 2026 at 17:00 (ACST).
Late applications will not be accepted.

Time Commitment
- Bi-monthly Board meetings (6 per year) up to half a day per meeting, plus relevant pre-reading and preparation time
- Annual DTC Strategy Day
- Attendance at the Annual General Meeting
- Elected members are required to attend a special Board meeting immediately after the AGM on 15 October 2026
- Attendance at the DTC's annual Defence Industry Dinner and Awards Ceremony
- Attendance at the bi-monthly Business Development After Five (Connect@DTC) events is encouraged to engage and connect with members approximately 2 hours every 2 months
- Availability for Board sub-committees if and when required
About the Board Positions
To maintain the DTC's high standards of integrity, professionalism and relevance to members, nominations are encouraged from members who have experience and qualifications in one or more of the following areas.
- AICD Company Directors course or equivalent, or membership of a director-based professional organisation
- Previous board experience
- Senior management experience in governance, finance and or strategy or communications
The DTC develops and promotes Australia’s defence industry to meet the needs of the sector through targeted programs and introductions. The Board therefore requires individuals who are actively employed in the defence sector, whether employed by a Prime Defence contractor or SME, and who are passionate about seeing the growth of Australia’s defence industry.
Board positions are voluntary.
