University Appointed Board Director Tony Kyriacou

Tony Kyriacou is the Defence Partnerships Director at Flinders University where he leads the university’s engagement with Defence and defence industry.

Since joining Flinders University in 2016, Flinders has continued to grow its reputation as a leading partner of choice for defence related academic partnerships, with Flinders being named Academic Institution of the Year in the 2025 Australian Defence Industry Awards.

Tony has worked across the defence industry for over 20 years, having previously worked in senior business development and workforce development roles at Defence SA, where he played a vital role in the state’s attraction and support of major defence programs including the AWD Program.

Tony was appointed to the Board in October 2025.
