Professional Certificate in Defence Industry Leadership

This postgraduate course, designed by the University of Adelaide in conjunction with the Defence Teaming Centre, builds upon the content of the existing and successful Defence Industry Leadership Program (above). As a defence industry specific leadership program, the Professional Certificate in Defence Industry Leadership covers key areas such as self-leadership, ethics, networks, collaboration, dealing with complexity and managing change.

Successful completion of the certificate may provide credit into the University of Adelaide’s prestigious MBA program.

Cost:

$5,250 per subject (approximately $10,500 in total)

  • A Student Services and Amenities Fee ($235) also applies

Participants may be eligible for FEE-HELP.

CDIC’s Advisory and Facilitation Services (Skills Development) Grant:

About the Professional Certificate

The South Australian defence industry is set to boom in coming years with submarine and shipbuilding programs and construction. As such, there has never been a more valuable time to participate in a defence industry specific leadership program.

Through contemporary blended and hands-on experiential learning, you will:

  • Grain proficiency in self-leadership, self-awareness and change management;
  • Learn to effectively manage multi-party collaboration;

Participants will benefit from frequent industry visits; presentations from senior defence specialists; advanced simulation and guided experimentation exercises; and an immersive retreat in a key defence facility.
