Pre-AGM Networking *Member Only*

The DTC is hosting an event so that you, our valued Members can engage with the current DTC Board and staff; and meet the new Board nominees. This free informal networking event will be provided in the style of our popular BD After Five events, and subsidised drinks and catering will be provided. Due to venue capacity, a maximum of 2 registrations per organisation.

PLEASE NOTE, Voting for Directors will be opened during this event.  We therefore encourage as many members as possible to attend and lodge their vote for Directors in preparation for the AGM on 5th November.

Dear Member,

The 2019 Annual General Meeting of the Defence Teaming Centre Inc (DTC) is scheduled for 7th November 2019 and nominations are hereby called for suitably qualified Directors for a 2-year term.

In accordance with section 7.6.1 of the Constitution, the following five (5) Directors’ terms will expire:

  • Darryl Mincham
  • Tim O’Callaghan
  • Fred Hull
  • Brett Newell
  • Davyd Thomas

Note, due to the resignation of Mr Sanjay Mazumdar in April 2019, the Board is seeking nominations for six (6) positions.

Subject to the requirements of the Constitution, these Elected Directors will be eligible for re-election by the Members, should they be re-nominated.

Nominations are encouraged from candidates who have experience and qualifications in one or more of the following areas:

  • Accounting / Finance
  • Governance (including corporate/contract law)
  • Government and Corporate Relations
  • Business Growth and Development

The Defence Teaming Centre (DTC) develops and promotes Australia’s defence industry to meet the needs of the sector through targeted programs and introductions.  The Board therefore requires individuals who are actively employed in the defence sector, whether employed by a Prime Defence contractor or SME; and who are passionate about seeing the growth of Australia’s defence industry.

Specialist knowledge of any of the following domains is also highly sought after:

  • Cyber
  • Air
  • Land
  • Sea
  • Joint

Board positions are voluntary, and the forecast time commitments are:

  • Bi-monthly Board meetings – up to half a day per meeting, plus relevant pre-reading and preparation time.
  • Attendance at AGM
  • Attendance at bi-monthly Business Development After 5 events is encouraged, to engage and connect with Members – approximately 2 hours every 2 months.
  • Availability for Board’s sub-committees.

These positions are honorary, however reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.  Webinars will be used for board meetings commencing in 2020, making it easier for interstate Members and frequently travelling Members to remain involved in the governance of the DTC.
