International Traffic In Arms Seminar

November 28, 2022 @ 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Companies in defence industry who are wanting to expand their business into the United States of America need to be aware of the current International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) in place.

In April last year a company was fined $13M by the US State Department for exporting to countries, such as China, technical drawings of components to various aircraft, missiles and tanks.

International Trade Advisors, Department for Trade and Investment and The Defence Teaming Centre are proud to present a one-day seminar on the management of technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This course is for those new to export controls as well as the seasoned practitioner.

The full day seminar will cover the following:

  • Introductory information about US export controls
  • Management of ITAR
  • EAR controlled assets

The workshop-style format includes exercises and group discussions that aim to provide a solid foundation for the ability to manage common scenarios when working with the Commonwealth, Primes and SMEs in managing ITAR and EAR controlled technology.

It is a unique opportunity to spend the day working through various business cases related to the management of export-controlled technology with fellow members of the Australian defence industry.
