Cyber Security is an increasing concern for the Defence Industry. The cyber security risks are prevalent for all businesses regardless of size. Most Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) know that cyber security is important and the damage that an incident may cause. Prime and Government agencies are acutely aware of the risks to their own systems and those of members of their supply chain.

The education about the risks in cyber has been done. Now we are ready to take action. Large companies, including Primes and Government agencies are starting to work towards protecting their systems and intellectual property. It is not always an option for SMEs to take these same precautions. This can create vulnerability in the whole Defence Industry supply chain.

Now is the time to work through solutions that Primes, Government agents and SMEs can implement to decrease their risk of cyber-attack. Protecting Sovereign capability and closing the door on hackers.

The 2019 Defence Industry Cyber Security Summit will;

• identify tools to protect businesses against attack from hackers,
• discuss how to create a cyber & security conscious culture in a business and,
• hear case studies from companies that have been hacked or prevented a loss through interventions and prevention measures.

The Summit will be held in Adelaide and is expected to attract over 200 delegates from SME, Primes, Government officials and ICT / Cyber professionals from across Australia.

The summit is being delivered by the Defence Teaming Centre (DTC), Defence SA, AustCyber Node, and FifthDomain. Supported by Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA).
