AUKUS is a new trilateral partnership among Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States. It aims to strengthen diplomatic, security and defence cooperation, focusing on deepening integration in defence-related science, technology, industrial bases and supply chains, with particular emphasis on cyber capabilities, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies and new undersea capabilities.
At this business luncheon, the panel of experts will discuss the business opportunities created by the signing of the AUKUS agreement – submarines and beyond. AUKUS will give Australia a strategic and technological boost for decades.
The panel will discuss:
- Sovereign Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Enterprise
- Cyber technologies and critical defence capabilities
- Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs)
The new AUKUS deal will bring huge opportunities for many SA companies – even those outside the defence industry. If your business involves goods, services, advisors, IP, IT, AI, transport, logistics and support, learn how you can take advantage of what the defence sector requires going forward. South Australia is front and centre with the naval shipbuilding contracts, submarines, land missiles and its focus on cyber security. Major defence companies across the maritime, aerospace, land, systems, and cyber domains have their headquarters or significant operations in the state.
