Defence Teaming Centre and De Stefano & Co are proud to present a hybrid event, on the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), including an update on the ‘DISP pause’ and an intro to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Essential Eight, a collection of cyber mitigation strategies.

Join De Stefano & Co's Head of Protective Security Services Brian McAvoy, and Associate, David Kameniar as they share their unique insights gained from supporting over 80 businesses across Australia to achieve DISP membership and Essential Eight compliance.

This event can either be attended online via Teams or at the Lecture Theatre, TechCentral, Lot Fourteen on 6 December at 10:30am. Please select your preference on check out. If you select online attendance, a Teams link will be emailed to you the day prior.

About the speakers:

Brian McAvoy - Head of Protective Security Services, De Stefano & Co

Brian is a project management, engineering, supply chain management and security professional. As Head of De Stefano & Co’s Protective Security Services practice, Brian specialises in supporting organisations with DISP membership attainment and Physical Security uplift engagements, providing expert ICT compliance guidance and advice that includes frameworks such as the Essential Eight. Brian also leads De Stefano & Co’s security education and training delivery, working with educational institutions such as the University of Adelaide to build security capability in senior business leaders. Brian is also a Member of the Australian Information Security Association (MAISA).

David Kameniar - Associate, De Stefano & Co

David is a business and security professional with a background in law, and Defence security advisory, as well as program and project management. Working across security engagements at De Stefano & Co, David has proficiency in advising senior executives from SMEs through to multi-nationals on uplifting Defence security within their organisations. Specialising in the delivery of DISP membership attainment and Physical Security uplift services, David is also a Member of the Australian Information Security Association (MAISA).
